- Flight 11: Two F-15 fighter jets scramble from Otis Air National Guard Base to intercept Flight 11, but its location is unknown
- Flight 11: 8:46:30 - Flight 11 crashes into the north face of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99
- The media starts to report the incident
- Flight 77: The plane is hijacked just before 9.00am and turns south over Ohio
